Couto Pereira should be the stage for the match between Grêmio and Corinthians in the next Wednesday (7), at 9:30 pm, for the Copa do Brasil. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has not confirmed the location yet, but Grêmio already has an agreement with Coritiba for the match to take place in the capital of Paraná. Despite the agreement, Coritiba and Grêmio have not signed the contract confirming the "loan" of Couto Pereira. Therefore, the CBF has not confirmed the location yet. The same movement is expected for the match against Fluminense in the first leg of the Libertadores round of 16, which takes place on August 13th.
Coritiba and Grêmio have a good relationship. In fact, Couto Pereira was the stage for the matches against The Strongest and Estudiantes in the group stage of the Libertadores. It also hosted the match against Bragantino in the Brasileirão, during the flooding period in Porto Alegre. Meanwhile, Grêmio is working to have their stadium back as soon as possible. The forecast is for the team to play at the Arena do Grêmio on September 1st, against Atlético-MG. However, there is a possibility of an earlier return, on August 17th, depending on the field conditions.
